We met through a mutual friend in 2005.  We quickly fell in love and knew that we wanted to spend our lives together and that children would be a part of our family. We were married in 2007 and moved into a new home in a wonderful neighborhood with children of all ages.  Our lives are filled with love, family, friends, community, travel, books, and music.   We love the outdoors, whether just taking neighborhood walks, working in our garden, or hiking along the coast.  We love to travel and look forward to sharing adventures in the US and around the world with our child. Both of us are very committed to working in the community in which we live. Susan is a professor in public health focused on enhancing the health of low-income populations. Steve manages conservation projects for the federal government.
